Winter fun for Aiden

It's been an unseasonably cold December here but Aiden and I found time to go sledding in the backyard. The slope of our yard is perfect for little kids to go zooming down the hill...and just big enough to make daddy tired and winded.

We would just run up and down the hill - each time Aiden's face would light up and his mouth would open in excitement...or maybe that was the look of terror. A smile always followed though. See more pics.

We later had hot chocolate in the house and watched football. My little dude.

Now Aiden is getting so excited for Christmas. He thinks every present under the tree is for him - and most of them are. Last weekend at Grandma Joy and Grandpa Bill's house we celecrated early.

Aiden tore through the wrapping paper and was rewarded with tons of Thomas the Tank Engine stuff. Seriously, the Island of Sodor is coming together nicely in our house! (If you're without kids you probably think we are talking about some far away island that we vacation to...you know better than that...it's Thomas' home.)

It's been really fun getting all the holiday cards from friends and family. We hope you all have a great holiday and a better new year!

We'll see some of you in a few days! The beer is on ice - no promises it'll still be there by the time you arrive. Hurry!
