A visit to Mastodon Lake
This weekend we went to Phillips Park Zoo in Aurora - known for the 1930s discovery of mastodon bones where they were digging.
The zoo is so 'geeker'. They have a couple cougars (not the type found in every South Naperville restaurant), some bald eagles, otters - Teeder and Todder, deer and elk, chickens and turkeys, a pretty cool reptile house, and some great people watching!
We had hoped to ride the tram around the park but we missed it twice. Apparently it's the 'it' thing to do on a weekend in the 'burbs.

Thank you for the postings. I love the editorials. Hopefully all your pictures etc can be preserved for Aiden and Allie's wedding reception where the goal is to show them growing up in a flash....and embarassing them to tears, right?
love,
joe and claire
